World of Words (WOW) Early Intervention Services provides specialized instruction & speech/occupational therapy services in early childhood education settings throughout San Francisco and San Mateo Counties.  World of Words is run collaboratively by a bilingual speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience in both management and hands-on early intervention, and an early interventionist, who brings over 15 years of experience in both management and early childhood education.

WOW currently has speech-language pathologists, early interventionists, and occupational therapists on staff. Some of the staff is bilingual, and we are able to provide services in English, Spanish, and Chinese. WOW is currently contracted by the regional centers in San Francisco, San Mateo, & Santa Clara Counties to provide Early Start services to children under 3 years of age, including  speech/language therapy, occupational therapy. and specialized instruction. These services can be provided at the client's home, preschool, daycare, or in the community (e.g., at the park, library, in a community play group).

 

WOW also runs group speech therapy and specialized instruction group classes, which provide opportunities for play-based learning, peer interaction, and social language skills development.  The groups are run together with our community child-parent classes, creating an inclusive learning environment.
